December has arrived...

Time...
I have always hated December, well I guess just since I started college. There is always so much to do and I feel like days actually are actually shorter. I have finals which is two weeks of steady projects and test prep, Christmas which is shopping, decorating, cooking and traveling to a million places ( I hate separated families and I am sorry to say, but I am glad that the fiance's family lives out of state, one less place to try and make it to) and on top of that this is the busiest time of year at work. And for some reason I decided that this year I would mover over Thanksgiving week with only one week of prep time before hand and get married on Jan. 15th. I have no idea how how I am going to fit finalizing wedding details amongst the rest of the regular duties and unpacking.

Keeper of time, I could really use an extension on the month of December.
Sincerely,
Sam

Wedding Plans...
I had my first official fitting this past Monday, so exciting!! We were able to poof out the bottom of the dress enough so we didn't have to hem it. This would have been a pain since it would have meant removing about 30 appliques and reattaching them! We also started on the bustle. I thought this would have been a lot easier but it was a very long process. My dress has a huge train and random array of lace appliques so a traditional single or even triple bustle was not looking right. We ended up sewing many smaller pick-ups instead. she did one side and there were seven. That means there will be a total of FOURTEEN bustles!! It looks beautiful but I am very glad I am the bride and not the bridesmaid. I have also received and handed out the BM dresses. I am so happy with them, they turned out a perfect color. I thought at first they were going to be too orangey but the ended up pinker than the sample. If we would have went one shade pinker they would have looked really bright next to my dress. I have also picked out and purchased the jewelry for the BM's, which was a relief since during my fitting i realized my jewelry I had picked out was not going to work.

I have decided I hate picking music. This has been the most ridiculous and time consuming thing I have done with this wedding. I have no idea what music to play for a dance at 1:00pm! Do you do regular reception music or do you still do the late night dance hits? I had originally given this task to the Fiance but as usually it went undone and there is only 6 weeks left! In his defence the one day I specifically told him he had to work on it he did pick songs, however they were ceremony songs which I have already picked out!! I have a feeling the week after finals and before Christmas will be very tiring and a little crabby.
